HISTORY
Mrs Melanie Tarr started this family based company in the summer of 2007. Her business concept was chosen as one of 25 finailst in the state of Maryland to receive training for self-employment through Women Entrepreneurs of Baltimore. WEB builds strong, women-owned businesses that lift up communiities and families.
Mrs. Tarr has a bachelor's degree from Salisbury State University. She has worked with parents and young children to build pre-school readiness and literacy skills for almost 12 years. She has facilitated several literacy based grant programs in Queen Anne's County, Maryland; including a Federal Early Learning Opportunties Grant and 2 Barbara Bush Family Literacy Grants. She enjoys listening to and helping parents enjoy the special early years of learning.
She was born in Talbot county and has lived with her husband and two children in Queen Anne's County for over 9 years. She has worked with children with special needs for over 14 years and is looking forward to starting a masters in special education / early childhood.
She is also active in the community. She is the Community Director for Personal Ponies, a National Non-Profit Orginization that has Very Special Ponies... For Very Special Children. She enjoys promoting the Magic that the United Kingdom Shetland Ponies have with children and adults with special needs.
